I know E is far from solids but that's the direction we'll probably go.Jody and Alexhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10662428902161988514noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-813045118381573751.post-24868060960457751572009-11-03T22:05:33.157-08:002009-11-03T22:05:33.157-08:00Hey Jess, I am now crying! She is getting way too big, I can't believe it!! :) The last video with Baby Einsteins in the background brought back memories of when Adam was that little. I miss it and I miss her so much!!

Anyways, I did make homemade baby food and it is so EASY!! Also, if you have a really good blender, that is all that you need. I would do squash, peas, carrots, green beans and fruit. All you do is cook it up, pop it in the blender and then add enough expressed breast milk to get it to the right consistency. Then you freeze them in ice cube trays, pop them out and keep them in freezer bags and then thaw 3-4 in the microwave when she's ready to eat and voila! It is so much better for them and I liked that I controlled what he ate as far as preservatives etc. It's a lot cheaper too. I would also buy some baby food, save the jars and when we went out, I would just pop 1-2 in there and take it with us. As long as he ate it within an hour or so, it was okay (just follow the guidelines for storing breast milk).

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. It's definitely worth a try. I can't believe she will be starting solids soon, So crazy. And she's such a big girl eating rice cereal already!!! Give her kisses for me!!The Sabatini Familyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11936720441028395453noreply@blogger.com
