getting too big.

seriously. i think since we've been in Oregon she's gotten smarter which makes her more like a big girl!

she greet everyone with a smile and "HIII!"....is it weird that i get annoyed when people in the store or anywhere say "oh my she's just a happy girl with that smile" ....? haha

yesterday morning she copied me when i said "aiy aiy aiy" which cracked me up...

we also went to the tillamook fair yesterday. We said "look at the cows" .. Dulany: "coooowww?" right off the bat!

then the other day i was singing old mcdonald to her... now she goes around "blah blah blah E- I- E- I OOOO (repeats herself a ton with this)

and now she has Uh oh down to a T. although she will throw somehting and go "uh oh..." (sometimes "uh uh oh")

she went to nursery last week... she sat a big kids table, ate popcorn, played with the big kids... She went back today with grandma while i taught YW.. Grandma came out and said "she started to play red light green light with the kids and did exactly what the other kids did".. (i wish i was able to see this!)

she also can count "oooone, teeewww, thweee (and sometimes fooow).

Im not writing this to be like "my kid is so smart!" im just shocked how quickly she picks up on things! she def. wasn't like this in rexburg (or maybe i just didnt notice it as much)... but man, she's getting so big and its making me so sad!!

anywho, i know im a slacker. but i didnt take the big camera to the fiar yesterday and of course my little camera was dead. so no pictures. ill try to get some!

last night the girls went to enrichment and the boys stayed home with Dulany. I wasn't sure if tom would be able to get her to sleep because we havent started sleep training (AGAIN!) yet (next week!) so i got home and tom "shhhh"ed me...

seriously, i was jealous. I wish she would fall asleep like that on me! i guess if she was tired enough she would but i guess she just loves her grandpa!

oh did i mention she's def. a roberts? She sweats like none other, uncontrollably. If you look in that last picture, it looks like she just got out of the bath, no.. she was just sweaty. she even left some sweat marks on grandpa's shirt.

she can find anything..

for example: yesterday she found a little jalepeno from tom's hotdog box from 7-11 (ewe.) and she got it in her mouth as tom was trying to wrestle his way into her mouth to get it. She didn't cry but she kept sticking her tongue in and out in and out...

then the day before we saw her like this...

mom and kaylee were skyping with bonnie and leslie while i was making dinner and they were asking what was Blue all over Dulany's face...

it was a gumball... drooling the blue out of it! haha luckily we got it out.

it just makes us laugh how she can find anything that we can't even see. What a stinker! but she's a cute stinker!

the past few days.

Ok, in the past few days we have swam some more in the ocean, Dulany and Elsa have been swimming in their little pool on the deck, we've been getting some sun, playing games, the boys tried surfing... lots of stuff... instead of writing a lot, here are a few of my favorite pics. OBX day 2

Here are some pictures of Today. We took Dulany and Elsa down to the water (they didn't like it too much) and they played in the sand. We went to the farmers market to get some fresh produce (this one wasnt as good as ones Jody saw) and we got some good watermelon and amazing fresh picked corn (which dulany LOOOVED, she ate a whole slice of watermelon). Tom and Alex rented surf boards and tried surfing. Dulany and Elsa loved playing with each other today. Here are some pictures of Dulany and Elsa

A little preview.

we FINALLY made it to the outter banks. friday we flew from portland to salt lake (with a stop in boise) and then saturday early morning is when the fun began. Or not. Our flight with american airlines was pushed 3 hours because they took our plane to LA.... so we had to switch flights to delta. We made it from SLC to Chicago and then went Atlanta. We left late from chicago so we missed our flight from altanta to norfolk by 6 minutes.... so that was 7 pm. the next flight was 10 pm. The guy told the couple infront of us that they would be on standby for tickets for that flight so when we went to go put our names up the guy actually gave us the last 2 seats on the next flight! so 10 pm finally came and we got first class seats!! thank goodness something finally went right.

so basically we were supposed to get in at 6:30 to Norfolk then drive the 90 minutes to the OBX... instead we got in at 11:45 and didnt get in till nearly 2 am... it was a LONG day... total hours of travel ...17 hours. Luckily Dulany did pretty well. Doesn't help she is teething and she had a temp of 102.3 the night before we left...

anywho, we're here. The boys have had TONs of fun boogie boarding and Dulany loves playing with cousin Elsa and playing in the surf getting her feet wet.

My new Baby!

obviously not a real one... but today i used the money we sold our car with to buy THIS:
My sis in law Bonnie has one (she has the 5000 better one) and my neighbor has this one and ive been seeing all the pictures they take and how incredibly better they are so I told myself i could splurge once and get something for me. Tom has golfing (had baseball, other sports) as a hobby, and i wanted something for me! So im excited to learn how to use it and hopefully ill get some good practice while we are HERE:
We're heading to North Carolina (the outter banks) with my family for a whole week! we leave tomorrow for salt lake and then saturday we're flying to the beach!! I AM SO EXCITED! i haven't seen them in 7 months! Im so excited for Dulany and her cousin Elsa to play together (since before they were too little!)

Ill make sure to post TONS of pictures when we get bacK!

this past week

This past week has been crazy with packing and cleaning and moving to Oregon. Tom graduated a few days ago! we went to a wedding (congrats nattie and payton!) and we also went to Lagoon and yellowstone! Here are pictures!!

Only till this weekend and we're heading to the beach! WAHOO!

CONGRATULATIONS TO TOM FOR GRADUATING!!! We have been waiting for this day for a LONG time! YAaaay!!! So Proud of you!

after 2 1/2 years..

WE are OUTTA here!!!

others may be sad... but really, ive been ready to get out of here for quite some time! sure ill miss our friends (although all our friends are leaving anyways or have already left). We've lived in the same apartment since we got married and it was Dulany's first home but i think she even wants to get outta here and be with grandma and grandpa (Roberts) when we move to Oregon and be with cousins and actually have places to go and have room to run around (seriously, shes ready to run!)
so heres to you rexburg, thanks for being our home for the past 2 1/2 years, but goodbye, I will not miss some of you (aka, your winters!) Thanks to everyone who we became friends with while we were here as well! we will miss you! (Dulany says she'll miss her favorite neighbor/friend - Everett!)

ps, i have Lagoon pics and we're going to yellowstone tomorrow, but we're in the middle (closer to the end) of moving so you all will just have to wait till we get back to Oregon!

pps... in one week from Saturday we will be in North Carolina (Outter Banks) at the BEACH!!! YAY!

Oregon Trip

thank you grandma (roberts) for sending the camera charger so we could share or Oregon trip pictures! We went got there thursday night and stayed till late late monday night... the drive was long and with Dulany only sleeping 30 minutes, then 10 and then another 10 minutes during a 14 hour drive (usually takes 12, longer with this child) it was long, then on the wya back we left oregon at 11 pm and drove through the night... at least she slept this time... minus going through 3 pairs of clothes because of a bad diaper or figuring out how to get the juice out of the cup....

while we were in oregon, we went to some outlets and then on friday and Tom and i went and saw Grown Ups (we never see movies in the expensive theatre except for a date which we havent had in awhile!) Saturday we went to the st paul rodeo. Tom has talked about this rodeo for years and how they go on the 4th of july weekend. We went and ate a ton of carnival food and Dulany rode the carousel and then during the actual rodeo which started during Dulany's bedtime so she was kinda cranky and such a mamma's girl. The rodeo was really fun and we all got free coupons to the Casino which we used to go to but now for dinner on the weekends its 19 bucks a person! so we saved them and ended up getting a 9 dollar lunch (which was good anyways) and we're going to use our coupons on a friday night, get as much as we can from them!

Fourth of july we went to church and then had a bbq at Kaylee's husband's parents house> that was tons of fun and we put on our own fire works.

Monday Tom and I and Jon and Kaylee went and saw a movie. (2 movies in oen weekend is def. NOT typical for us but we had to take advantage of getting out of the house with out dulany)

we have a week and a half before we're out of rexburg for good. Tom graduates a week from friday (yayyy so proud of him!) and im already stressed with packing! its tough, we've been here for SO long! Oh well, so glad to get out of here.

tonight we went to em and dave's for dinner, they had another couple over who had a 3 week old ... seriously... was my baby girl (who was into everything and walking all over the place) really that little?? i had to go back to look at pictures to make sure..
Dulany decided she wanted to take a look at the little man too.. she even decided to go over and pull on his toes (thank goodness his mamma laughed and thought it was funny...) and when we're at tom's baseball game, tom's friend has a little 7 week old and she would have to walk over to his carseat, tilt her head to the side and peak in (ok, that was darn cute! wish ihad a picture) it makes me nervous for when we have another kid (which will be awhile) and how she'll react.. hopefully she'll be a good big sister. I guess if we stay in oregon when Kaylee's baby (dulany's cousin) is born, she'll have plenty of practice!

well, we went to Oregon this past weekend for the 4th of july and what not... i didnt take as many pictures as i wouldve hoped, but my camera died and i left my charger at grandma/grandpas house, so everyone will have to wait.

She's on the move!

Dulany is pretty much only walking now. Its crazy. Yesterday she walked all the around sports authority which made me realize she is too big!! im still get nervous when she's walking on the concrete cause she still stumbles (she's wanting to go a lot faster than her little legs can move her!) and falls. But she's gotta learn right? She also is doing better with walking in shoes (cute cute shoes might i add! thank you aunt bonnie for one of those pair of cute robeez that she wears all the time!) Today in church she didnt want to stay in one place to play, she wanted to walk everywhere.
anywho, here are a few pictures:
it finally started to get warm, so we went to the splash park, she kinda got scared with all the older kids and the water, but when we got ot the 'little fountains' if you call them that, she wanted to splash in the water. Please excuse me, doing something and can you see my really bad farmers tan? yikes!

here is a picture of her asleep, again, i went in and loved how her little legs were crossed but not sur ehow she slept with her dolly over her face like that! silly girl, you never know how you'll find her sleeping.
