Ayla came home from church wearing an outfit Dulany had. so we dressed them up to match. Cute girls!

15 months

Dulany turned 15 months yesterday. She has grown a TON!! now that we have baby Ayla around its crazy to compare the two (in size that is) and can't believe she used to be that little (actually, smaller).
Dulany now can say prayers. it is the cutest thing ever. We'll say our nightly prayers before bed or at the dinner table and she'll cross her arms on her own (well, she learned on her own, we've never really "forced" her to fold her arms during prayer).she is very observant! and catches on quickly

she's beginning to run everywhere.this is her in action over to great grandma/grandpa roberts house (across the driveway).

she's got 6 teeth and 1 trying to break through (4 on top).
her favorite words - appol (still) meow, uh oh, grandpa, dadda, "sh sh" with a finger up her nose instead of over her mouth, she's starting to say "no" a lot... great!.. along with some others.
she now knows how to do the 5 little monkies song by doing hand motions.
She tries to open the doors.
she loves to do fishy lips!

honestly, she's doing a WHOLE lotta stuff and i just can't think of it all...
but she does get jealous when grandma is holding baby Ayla. I got a few pictures of it. She does pretty well around her although she wants to touch her all the time which we are trying to get "be soft" down with her. she does pretty good but occasionally she wants to poke Ayla's face. Hopefully this will be good practice when we have another baby in the future .. not anytime soon that is. This whole week i kept saying to myself, i don't know how the parents do it with two kids under two.... its hard! (i watched both of them this morning while Kaylee was in an appt. and it was a little difficult!haha).

Dulany starts talking in her sleep saying "baby baby baby" while patting her little dolly on the back.

Kaylee (who is my sis in law) finally had her baby ( a few days late)!!!!
Yesterday she went into labor (at like 3 am) and had her at 8:55 last night. 8 lb 4 oz 20 inches.
she is too cute and has such blonde hair!
today we made a visit so Dulany and Tom could meet her (i saw her last night)

Corn on the Cob

there is nothing like fresh corn on the cob, from your back yard! Ive never had so much corn on the cob before this year, and im not going to lie, it is SOOOOO good! Dulany LOVES it too. We had a lot of small cobs so we always gave Dulany her own. It wasn't until yesterday where she really got the hang of it. Now with her 4 top teeth and 2 bottom, she can eat a whole cob by herself. here are some cute pictures!

All In a Day.

Dulany LOVES to wait by the window and wait for grandma to get home, and to talk to Arley (the dog). she has started to to say "hi awi" i about freaked out yesterday when she said it just cause it was an actual phrase.
This is Arley (im not even sure if im spelling the dog's name right!) Im pretty surprised she loves her so much. I was wondering how she would react to having a dog around but everytime we walk outside and we see her she always (tries to) say dog. She loves to go pet her and gets kisses from her.

She LOVES tomatoes it is insane. Aunt Kaylee picked this tomato from the yard and she ate it like an apple.


She always leans on the couch like this like its no big thing. i love it!

how to eat a tomato

First...you have to pick the perfect tomato from(great) grandma and grandpa's garden




Then, you might need a little help from an Aunt to pick it and hand it to you.


Then, you go show mommy what you got!



Then you look at it for a minute or two. Thinking about how you're going to eat it.


Then you take a big bite.


Then realize that its too good to just take a bite and you stick the whole thing in your mouth!

D is for Doll

Dulany is now obsessed with Starfall.com - (thank you bonnie for showing us this). Everytime someone goes to the computer D. follows and wants to sit in your lap because she thinks starfall is going to play. It's a site to teach ABC's and it's pretty cute. She has the A-Ah-Apple down (appol for her). Now she goes around saying appol all the time. (i put that video up before). Recently she loves the D page.... it has a dinosaur dance (and roar which she loves) and mostly the D is for Doll, Dancing Doll - and the little doll has the music and dances... she follows. I caught it as best as i could on video.. here it is.

Oregon State Fair

Yesterday we went to the Oregon state Fair. It was pretty fun. We were tired (D. especially since she hadn't napped in 2 days! and tom started to feel sick). but had a lot of fun looking at Cows and old tractors the saw racing (they show it on espn sometimes where the guys race to cut/chop wood) and Tom and Jon (kaylee's husband) went on this one ride (if you call it that) that shoots you up in the air. we got it on video. Here are the VERY few pictures we got..

Grandma and Dulany with the baby cows... Dulany was a little scared to go so close to them. but she kept saying "moooooo" (not as well but she knows what to say when you say "Tow" - her word for cow)

Cherry Tomatoes and a wedding.

Tom and I went to his friends wedding last night. It was nice to go just by ourselves and not have to chase a toddler around. We finally took a picture of just us... Tom didnt want to take a picture and im a little reluctant of having pictures of me taken... (im still trying to lose the baby weight from when i stopped nursing.. LONG time ago... but everyone who knows me, i HATE working out. Just somethign i need to change, thank you jogging stroller.)



Grandma and Grandpa gave Dulany tomatoes yesterday. IVe always given her small pieces but last night when they were babysitting, they gave her a cherry tomato and she gobbled it up. Tonight we got to see and we had to snap some pictures. it was too funny!
