ready to be a big sister?? she loves her baby doll and loves to 'take care' of cousin Ayla (yesterday she tried to pick her up) and gives her kisses (and the doll look below) Well, im sure she will be a great big sister when the time comes. (no im not giving any hints of any pregnancy, def. not pregnant - i just took a test after my 'dizzy spell' the other night.. big fat negative!







on a side note, This girl is 17 months going on 17.... talking on the phone with grandma waving her hands and has to have her necklace on... and she's picky about her cell phones... how ridiculous.




this girl is TOO big! - seriously, look at her. Today tom came over to me and was like "look at her! she looks like shes 5 years old!" she is getting to big, even today she started to count to 5 with me.

grandma and grandpa just came home from their trip to Ukiah and they agree, she grew in the past few days. Just tonight we were watching videos of Dulany when she was little and she saw her 'baby' that she sleeps with and wanted it and saw pictures of grandma with a 'baby' and it was funny to see her watch herself. it makes me miss her being so little.

ok.. so maybe this is just a post of how im kinda baby hungry..... just a little.

she loves herself

lately when Dulany is being a pain in the you know what because she gets bored being inside (thank you oregon rain..) i pull out the computer and do photobooth with the video so she can watch herself. she makes faces at herself and laughs and talks. its too cute! here is a video of her today when she found uncle jason's "waldo glasses" (from his halloween costume).. she carried them around ALL day.






also we finally got Dulany to see a doctor here in town. Holy cow it was difficult. She's on the Oregon Health Plan (like medicaid) and there are not a lot of doctors who accept new patients who are on that plan... and even if they do it takes at least a month to get in to see a new doctor. its insane. Plus they make you call all the pediatricians in town to see if they accept that insurance, which took forever. this is when i miss rexburg where all the doctors accept medicaid because well... a lot of people have it. and theres a wide variety of doctors to chose from. For us, we have to stick with this one because she's the only one there!

so we get there, the doctors office is in the hospital.. which is kinda weird, and the place feels like a prison with plastic windows that seperate you from the office, not a very welcoming place if you ask me. Her doctor wasn't so bad... although she almost attacked Dulany when her pretzel fell on the floor and she almost put it in her mouth... wow.. haha i must be a terrible mom cause im like eh 5 second rule!

but Dulany is 23 lbs (roughly, it was an awful old school scale and Dulany didnt want to stand on it very long.. on grandma's scale shes 24.2 lbs) and shes 30 1/4 inches long.. roughly... again. haha. she did NOT want to be checked out by the doctor what so ever. luckily i had a tootsie pop in my bag so she could calm down. They also said she probably wont need shots till shes 4.. im like say WHAT? i thought she would ahve to get more next month.

anywho, she's doing well and growing like a weed and repeating like crazy. Like last night when we went on a drive, she learned to say "i love you!" but she says "iiiiii luuuuhh YOUUUUU!" and then starts cracking up. She's funny. And i can't get enough of her!

this girl misses her dadda

well. most of the family is over in Ukiah hunting. Tom left friday night with dad and Jon and were supposed to come back sunday and leave tuesday, but tom and jon stayed to look after the trailer while dad came back to work for a day. So dad kaylee and baby ayla made their way this morning. Mom goes tomorrow night. Dulany and i will stay here. Its been a little lonely with out Tom here. Maybe its because he's my only friend hahaha. Its awesome we have a lot of family around here but i seriously need to make friends with kids around Dulany's age so i don't go too crazy being home by myself. I think another hard part is while hunting = no cell service so i don't get to talk to tom.. only if he goes into town and maybe has service. Its cute because Dulany has been saying dadda like crazy and points to his pictures and says dadda, she's probably wondering where he is.

Dulany has gotten a little sick. She had a runny nose and bad cough (runny nose not so much anymore) so she's been getting up a lot in the night and sleeping with me which i don't mind because tom's gone. But she still is mostly happy.. still cranky moments though! Like today... she was a little cranky but then i felt horrible (i inahled a little too much bleach when cleaning today = major headache/feeling sick) so call me a terrible mother, but we stayed in my bed while i lay down and she watched a lot of baby einstein and barny... Luckily she's been taking long naps!

Kaylee had a luncheon/shower for Ayla with her in-law side of the family, here is Dulany before we went. She looks so much like a toddler it freaks me out!


on a side note here are two pics i found on my camera from when adam came to visit... she HATED this thing. it was too loud and she would not get on, even with grandpa. But of course when adam gets on the "green tractor" she HAD to get on and had a blast. So hopefully grandpa will get another chance!



Oh and on request from my sister, here is the halloween graveyard cake i made for a halloween party. not so bad if i do say so myself. (for a first time).. but ive always wanted to take a cake decorating class = like nice cakes... fondant and all.. but i dont know if thatll ever happen!



anywho. so we're just hanging out, its been raining a lot (i knew it was going to come) but sometimes i feel like im back in Rexburg where i have to go to walmart to get my exercise. But i then looked at people's pictures from yesterday and there is snow on the ground. yikes.... i guess i should be grateful for just rain!

anywho.. just a few more weeks and we're headed to Pennsylvania to see my family!

TuTu

When aunt bonnie was in town, she made a tutu for baby Ayla to wear for pictures she was taking of her... well they decided to try it on Dulany cause it was kinda big and boy did this girl NOT like it! they put it on her and she ran away trying to get away from it before realizing it was ON her and she screamed and tried to rip it off. it was possibly one of the funniest things! I was in the middle of washing dishes when this happened so luckily Bonnie got a picture of it.

the other day to keep Dulany occupied i was doing photobooth. i didn't know you could record videos on there too! she was obsessed with looking at herself and making faces. it was too funny. I caught this video of her singing. She gets it from starfall.com. she is too funny. i was recording a video of her doing all the animal sounds she knows but somehow it got deleted. so annoyed.

Trunk-or-Treat!

last night was the ward halloween trunk-or-treat. It was pretty fun! Dulany got lots of candy and is actually eating a lot of it. great! She didn't like to get candy from other people at first, then we gave her a dum dum and she realized what the people were putting in her basket and got excited.

This little lady

Dulany has been up to a lot lately. And she's growing a ton and looking more and more like a toddler. It makes me sad a lot of times cause it makes me miss her as a baby = ( like right now she's sitting on grandma's lap and 'reading' her book.. pointing and singing what sounds like abc's.

Adam (being italian from his dad's side) wanted spaghetti for breakfast the other morning, so naturally, Dulany had to follow... Elf anyone?



Ever since we got our new travel system from craigslist, and put it in the 'storage room" as i call it, Dulany loves to go back there and sit in the carseat. Its so much deeper than the carseat she ever sat it. I found her like this after i heard her screaming, she got stuck.

Pumpkin Patch

We went to a pumpkin patch the other day and of course it rained, but we still had fun! Again, i forgot my camera so thanks again to bonnie for letting me steal these pictures from her blog. Just two. but they're cute so why not.

Last night we carved pumpkins, dulany was not a fan. she would rather just run up and down Kaylee's hallway. Today we're going to make a haunted house (kinda like the gingerbread house but for halloween) and then I need to makea graveyard cake for a party tomorrow. Tonight is Trunk-Or-Treating at the church and Dulany is too cute in her outfit (that we put together of stuff we had). This time ill remember to bring my camera!

cousins!

cousin Adam (with bonnie, leslie and jason) are here for a visit. Dulany is following adam around like crazy and i think she's learning more and more because of him. for example. today she said yellow and Ayla, clear as day.

16 months

Dulany turned 16 months on saturday. I figured its about time i do another blog post. its been awhile.

She is officially over her high chair. we went and got a booster seat (with a tray that can come on and off) so she'll actually eat on her own and not in someones lap, which she's been doing and it the only way she'll get food in her mouth. that stinker.
she loves to make animal sounds... she's got them down pretty well. anytime she sees a cat or dog, she says woof woof or meow... if she sees anything red and round she says apple. she loves to say "ya" and "what"... with really expressing the T. its too cute. she says a new word almost everyday. she's just too quick!

she loves any type of food. she will stick anything in her mouth that grandma or grandpa eat.. for example, last night we opened up a jar of pickled green beans, i mean they have a KICk to them... i could only eat one. she devoured like 5... and wanted more.


she's doing better being around Ayla (not like she was terrible before) but she's getting better at being soft and tries to change her diaper and get her dressed. She's better at letting grandma hold her although she still has her moments. This for example...

she also loves to sit next to ayla when she's on the floor and give her kisses..



She also is getting more teeth! she has 9 already through (4 top, 4 bottom, 1 premolar) and now she's cutting 3 of her other premolars and it makes my mouth hurt seeing how swollen her gums are. She also has had a terrible bum rash. so we let her "air out" the other night after her bath. I couldnt help myself but snap a picture. i just so happened to get this...

she also has started the little fits and most of the time its hard not to laugh. I believe she was throwing a fit when i took this picture... what a funny girl.




did i mention her hair is out of control?? its getting long but not long enough for pull pig tails so its usually a fountain hairstyle going on ontop of her head.


we're so excited for Adam. Bonnie and Leslie to come tonight and we'll have to wake Dulany up to see them (they come in the middle of the night). I can tell you this much, Dulany is going to be following Adam around like crazy.

im kinda in love.

with THIS double stroller... although idont know a whole lot about the brand, etc... i love all the different positions you can put it in , AND the fact you can put pretty much all models of carseat in it (aka i can buy whichever carseat i want)!

ps. i should clarify... haha i am NOT pregnant.. nor trying. We got in a fender bender so the insurance company took our carseat away cause it was in an accident and trashed it. lucky for us. we hated that thing. Now we're getting a new carseat and need a stroller for it to go into. so i figured since we'll have 2 kids the next time around, why not get a double now?

anywho. also....

here is a preview of what Tom and I are being for halloween (we usually wouldn't dress up but we actually got invited to a halloween party... i guess we arent that big of losers after all... just joking!)

She loves Grandma

Dulany loves her grandma. The other day grandma had a tootsie pop. Dulany automatically wanted it and she got it.... she ate the WHOLE thing.. i was pretty surprised. she knew what to do with it and everything.


Then she wanted grandma's lollipop even though she already had one. Did i mention she's already starting to throw fits? ugh.

then grandma was making pudding. Dulany stood at her legs and whined. So we pulled up a chair and helped stir and make the pudding. it was too cute. She got a lot of treats this weekend since it was conference weekend

bathrobe queen

i found a little bathrobe at a second hand store for a few bucks and bought it not sure if it would fit Dulany or not since it was def. small... well we got it on her but her little bum hung out. haha. she looked so stinkin cute in it we're going to buy her one that actually fits. She walked into the room like she owned the place knowing she looked cute and everyone was going to give her attention.

its official: i started weight watchers and i started this morning.(i even measured cereal and everything! never done that before!) I've heard many success stories with Weight Watchers and so Kaylee, Mom and I are doing it together. I really hope I can keep track and everything! I'm supposed to try to lose 7 lbs this week. We will see!! my goal is 20-25 lbs and try to get to my pre-pregnancy weight. I hope I can do this within a few months (hopefully about by feb(ish)). I've also started walking every morning with Dulany for about 30-45 minutes and slowly trying to start jogging (those who know me i HATE and DESPISE running with a passion... so this is big for me).

anywho. you'll hear from me next week to see if i lost weight or not. Wish me luck!!

ps. if you know anyone with a success story, please share it with me so it gives me some motivation!

also. i may take a picture of me and then after... just so i can see a difference....but im not sure. We will see.
