please welcome Thing 1 and Thing 2!

Yesterday my sister in law Leslie and Kaylee and mother in law, mom, threw me a baby shower for the twin boys. It was really fun and the theme was perfect - thing 1 and thing 2!

(great) grandma and grandpa roberts! After all the babies born this year - they will have about 42(ish) great grand children. (i tried to count them all, i might be off by a few if i missed some)- how crazy is that!

yesterday i also hit 30 weeks. this means they really could come soon!. our first goal is 32 weeks.... then its 35 weeks so i can deliver at my hospital and not have to go down to the bigger hospital.

We're hoping they stay in 5 more weeks and im not going to lie.... i wouldn't mind if htey came at 35/36 weeks. One - i know tom will be here incase he gets a job, he will most likely have to leave at 37 weeks and will miss the birth. 2 -my body is taking a beating. - but its ok. i want them to be healthy!
i dont know how long they'll stay in though. D came at 36w6d and i would be SHOCKED if they stayed in longer then her!

i have my 30 week appointment iwth my regular doctor office (im seeing the other ob though for the first time) on monday so i will have to update then with what they say.

First Day of Summer

it was yesterday and we felt it! finally sunny and warm!
we got D a few new dresses for church because shes growing like a weed and theyre becoming too short.
im not sure if dress sizes are totally different or what.... but all her 3T ones are small.

Anyways - here she is sporting a new summer dress. she didnt really want to put it on because it wasnt pink (like another dress we got) so i had to convince her it was like Belle's dress in beauty and the beast.

isnt she just darling? and pardon my "mumu" dress.. hahaha its hard to find anything that fits these days. 

tonight is also my baby shower, so look forward to some pics from the party.

Fathers Day and Graduate

Happy Father's Day to Tom, my dad and my father in law!

today is low key for fathers day - D went to church with grandma and grandpa. I hear that Dulany followed cousin Ayla up with the primary to sing to the fathers. Wish i could've seen it! Tom had a baseball game (coaching summer ball) an hour away so he left this morning and wont be back till before dinner. Im stuck at home with a cold - yuck. Tom will get his favorite dinner tonight as his present! haha sorry hun!

AND!!!!!

Congratulations to Tom for graduating this week!! He got his Masters in teaching business and certified in early math (i dont know what its called...) from Western Oregon University! So proud of him. He did student teaching from 7:30am-3:30pm and then would have baseball EVERYDAY this spring plus games and then would have occasional classes he had to go to down at Western (20sh miles away)

He juggled it all and there were times where he was stressed out and i felt horrible. But he did it!

now its time to hope and pray he gets a job. Still filling out lots of applications.

But So glad he's done with school and now he will be home more during the summer as he continues to be the head coach of the summer league baseball. 

(Leslie also graduated with her associates from Chameketa Community College and will go to BYU-I this fall! so congrats to her as well!)

D's 3rd Bday Party

Yesterday we just did a little bbq/cupcakes with the family - i was so not having a party! D had fun anyways and LOVED the presents she got. She was such a princess. She was super excited about being 3 and having "ballerina cupcakes" for her party. Here are pictures

3 years ago.

3 years ago was like any other day.
that night at 11:00 right before going to bed, i remember sitting on the couch with Tom and feeling my stomach tightening.
i said "tom, i got my first braxton hick contraction!" - i thought it was so neat because i heard it was your body gearing up for labor!
after that i didnt think much of it.
little did i know that a few hours later (2 1/2 to be exact - leading into the next day) that my water would break as i started getting more contractions and i was going to have a baby that day.


Ps... timeline on facebook is kinda neat - i was able to go back and read that facebook status i wrote that night.

"is thinking she's having some braxton hicks tonight... thinking.. not sure though."

Im just in denial that my baby girl is turning 3 tomorrow!

sometimes if i bend of or move a certain way - it feels like my skin is going to rip open. no joke. Ok it feels more like muscles are being torn in every which way ontop of my belly right where baby b is laying... where im the tiiiightest. Youch.

The darker stretch marks are making their way in around my belly button. i can ONLY imagine what my stomach will look like after i give birth to these two little ones...

im nervous... im not going to lie. I know it'll be worth it in the end when they're here. Its not like im showing off my stomach, but man - thinking about all the extra saggy skin and trying to feel good about myself.

I remember with Dulany right before i delivered -  luckily i still have the picture!

i was SOO tight i didnt know how i could stretch anymore. Well, now i know i can! and my skin is taking a brutal beating along with it. (along with my bladder- thank you baby A for being breach! hahaha) -and not to mention that belly button! - dulany likes to try to play with it. ahhaha

here is my stomach at 28 weeks (can you imagine what its going to look like 10 weeks from now? which will be the latest that these boys make their appearance - 38 weeks for twins) Compared to how i was at 36 weeks 6 days before I gave birth.

Whew.

Anyways. I really wanted to post these just for my records. I love looking back at my posts when I was pregnant with D and remembering how different that pregnancy is with this one.

28 weeks

well we made it to 28 weeks!

Tom and I went to my appointment at the high risk ob/gyn an hour away. (so done with that drive!) and we had an anatomy scan to make sure the boys were growing and everything was going alright. They looked awesome! Baby A was very shy... he turned and is now breach- Boo! But no wonder. last night i could NOT sleep to save my life and that baby was kicking more then i had ever felt. Then this morning while waiting in the waiting room, he was kicking my bladder SO hard. Usually its a tap with his hand or head but definitely foot kicks. they hurt! Baby B is still sideways.

Baby A - he was so shy, didnt want to look at us and stayed hunched. Im not sure if you can see in this picture but he was so scrunched up, in the u/s you could see his little skin wrinkles.

Baby B profile -

he was not shy at all and kept looking at us. like this picture - I think he already looks like Tom when hew as a baby... if i can remember (might have to go back and look at pictures!) but look at that belly and those cheeks! the u/s said he was a big boy... mind you tom was 10 lb 7 oz!

and baby A and baby B - foot to head - haha.

Anyways - baby boys are growing just perfectly. Baby A is 2lb 7 oz - right on track. Hes in the 47%. As for Baby B- hahaha well he is his daddy's son - weighing in at a whopping 3lb2oz already. The doctor said thats usually what they weigh at 31 weeks.  He's in the 73% for weight. Big boy!

Im glad they are gaining weight and are on track and even bigger. Makes me more calm in case something did happen and I deliver early. At least we would have weight on our side.

as for me. I feel HUGE - my belly is low, and Tom sometimes lifts it up and it feels So good. Im so tight up top where baby B (the heavy boy) is so no wonder! Ive got lots of room below the belly button but of course the bigger one is hanging on top.

I am as big (if not bigger) then i was when i had D at 36weeks. People keep saying "not much longer" comments and i have to correct them saying no, i have a good 10 weeks at the most and there are 2 in there.

i went to carters today and the lady was like ohhh some last minute shopping? Nope.... haha better get used to it!

Oh and at my Dr's appointment - I no longer have to go to the high risk ob and can start seeing my regular doctor YAY! no more long drives! Also said that we wont be checking my cervix anymore since it hasnt changed but to keep doing limited activity and he thinks by 32 weeks the restrictions should be lifted. Only 4 more weeks then! yay!

How Far Along Are You: 28 weeks

Total Weight Gain: i am up 15-16 lbs from pre pregnancy weight

How Big are Your Babies? Baby A is 2 lb 7 oz (right on track) and Baby B is 3 lb 2 oz (measuring 31 weeks) Size of Chinese Cabbage

Maternity Clothes: had to go buy some new LARGE and X Large shirts. Still in my Small pants though! love that about my pregnancies. im ALL belly!

Stretch Marks: Ohhhh yeah. Nasty dark ones above my belly button. 

Sleep: Last night, 3rd trimester welcomed me... by not letting me sleep. Not looking forward to it.

Best Moment This Week: probably seeing these baby boys and seeing how much they've grown. Makes me feel better!

Movements: All over the place. and sometimes they kick so hard it hurts. But super fun to see movements on the outside.

Food Cravings: White Cheddar Ricecakes...

Food Aversions: some days nothing seems good to eat but no aversions

Labor Signs: a few contractions each day. but thats about it. 

Belly Button in or out?: its disgusting. its out and its huge. I call it my snout. 

Miss Anything?: believe it or not... cleaning. its driving me NUTS

and we dont want to leave the Big Sister out! poor girl fell asleep on the couch after her bath. She is too cute though! i couldn't help but share.

27 weeks and D's favorites

 D LOVES this pink dress. obsessed. she wants to wear it every day and even refuses to take it off when she goes to bed. there has been a few (BIG) tantrums over this dress when i try to take it off. So the other day she found her dress up necklaces and wanted her pink dress of course. so i let her wear get it and put it on and she said "take pictures mommy!" so i had to get my camera out and take thousands of pictures. Maybe this is a sign i could actually maybe get good pictures of her? oh wait, im on bed rest. can't do that. LAME!

 

She's pretty darn cute if i do say so myself!

So while at home and trying to stay down most of the day - painting has become one of D's favorite things to do. (along with play dough.) I feel bad because i can't really go take her outside to play. One i cant chase after her. I could go take her just outside that door right there and sit and watch her play - but thats where everyone likes to smoke... ALL.. Day. Ewe.

Luckily Kaylee picks her up for an hour -2 a day to play with Miss Ayla. And when Tom is done student teaching in 2 weeks he can take her in the mornings before he does baseball (he's head coaching summer ball for a select team of high school students.)

 

And today marks 27 weeks pregnant. Seems crazy. I havent been having many contractions so i moved home on thursday night while everyone went camping. I was doing fine going up and down stairs so i figured id be ok here. Last night i started to have some contractions (more then usual for the past few weeks) and i blame it on dehydration since i hadnt had like anything to drink all day- and they stopped by the time i went to sleep so my goal is to keep drinking lots of water and hopefully thats it. Im praying its not the stairs. 

here is a shot of one of the babies (either baby A's bum or B's head..?) poking out. You can tell my stmach is getting lots of new stretchmarks. But these boys LOVE to move and poke and roll around. I have never been so amazed to see how much i can see them from the outside. I saw D occasionally but wow. i see them daily!

 

anyways - babies weigh about 2 lbs and are size of a head of cauliflower. that is huge!

 I noticed new stretch marks this morning, so i figured id take a picture on iphoto- wow! then i went back and looked at my last pregnancy pic with D... yeah im already getting that big! Wow.
