trip to mac

 This last weekend we went up to mac bc we got tickets to the OSU vs Utah football game. Tom and I were in a desperate need of a night alone and im not going to lie.. i was sooo nervous to leave the boys. not that mom and dad couldnt handle them but Colton was going through a rough phase that week with inconsolable crying from being over tired and being off with traveling didnt help. We drove down friday after tom got off work but had to stop in roseburg to meet with someone from the stake to so tom could get a calling. he got called to be the 2nd counselor in the elders quorum. so funny.. i totally called it. his bro in lawand my bro in law are both EQ presidents and then his other sisters husband just got called into the EQ presidency.

anyways we then headed to mac in time to go straight to the high schools homecoming game (mom works there, where tom went to hs and student taught). well... colton had othe plans. he cried the last hour in the car.. turned out he was too hot. felt horrible. then he was inconsolable... i told tom to take D and K inside while i calmed C down. i finally did.... then tried to stick him in the bjorn... all hell broke loose. i could not calm him down so i told tom to bring k back and i took them back to the house where i got them to sleep.

the next afternoon i got to hang out with my friend page (soo nice to hang out with a friend!) and then we all headed to the casino for the buffet lunch. once again.... the boys were cranky. sigh.... not to mention D was crwaling all over the nast floor and pretending the pole underneath the table was a fire pole... aiy aiy aiy... here are some pics

then it was time for the OSU game. usually im a utah fan but im converting to an osu fan... plus tom refused tolet me wear my utah sweatshirt.

anyways.. first we saw a crash between a pedestrian and biker. the girl was crossing the street into a bike lane and a guy hit hr and she hit the ground so hard (we heard it) and she got knocked out. lots of ppl went to her and they yelled to call 911 and an ambulance came. 

then we sgot to our seats and this older bigger man came next o me and tried to climb over the seats to the next row and totally fell.. practically onto me but i backed into the arm rest and now have a huge nast bruise. he tried again and almost fell again. we thought he was just old then realized he was so drunk he couldnt even stay awake for the game.

then the game was reaallly cold. then started to rain. good thing we were underneath the cover! and the beavers won!

we were gone for 7 hours. most def the longest ive left the boys. but we needed it and i hd to remember its ok if they cry.. they arent going to die!

thanks to mom who watched all 3 kiddos and i know the boys were a little difficult so lots of props to her.. although shell prob never want to babysit them again! haha

3 Months old!!

I can't believe my little boys are 3 months old. 

these past few months have just been a whirlwind! 

I have to constantly remind myself that i can not compare them to babies their age..and its hard. Other babies their age are way ahead of them but i need to remember that they were born 6 weeks early and technically they're only 6 1/2 weeks old (so weird to think about!)

For 3 months old - 

these boys almost have all control of their head. we like to say they have bobble heads though. 

they HATE tummy time. hate hate.  SO we try to do more on our chests with them instead of the floor. Kemp will even just lay his head down sometimes and almost fall asleep (this happened once).

they HAVe to be swaddled up in order to sleep. its a little ridiculous. but thats exactly how their sister was.

Kemp loves the bouncer and Colton loves the swing.

they like to kick. a lot! they love playing on their play mats and they are starting to hit the toys more and more.

both boys are smilers! which i love.

they still eat every 3 hours. even at night. i finally got one good night of sleep -4 solid hours. it was bliss. The boys even slept 5 hours. it never happened after that though. 

Kemp has blue eyes and i think Colt's are turning brown (he does look just like D when she was this age, so its not surprising if they turn brown like hers did)

It'll be crazy when they keep getting bigger and they start rolling over and and then crawling, etc. 

and im not sure if im ready for that.

2 toddler boys? .... yikes.

just kidding - thats totally Dulany at 3 months old - talk about freaky. They even do the exact same thing with their hands fisted up inward. And the smile is the exact same.

Baby Blessings

my dad came in wednesday from PA to come to the baby blessings, meet the boys and spend some quality time with us (my whole family is on the east coast so he was the only one who could make it. We missed all my family back home though! wish you all couldve been here!)

Tom's family is just 3 hours away so they left early this morning and got here right before church and then we had the blessings and then a big taco feed at the house and visited and they headed right back home. Short but sweet visit.

im not going to lie. I was scared that Colton was going to scream the whole time. This whole week he's gone through phases when he's tired and he can NOT get himself to sleep and he screams and screams and i can't even console him, and it takes a good 30 minutes to get him to sleep... and then if you move, he wakes up and screams some more. Yikes. He started to fuss before the blessings while K was out cold. Well luckily he fell asleep but iwas nervous for when Tom got him - well he didnt wake up at all until i got him back.

Poor Tom - he also had to say a talk today as well! he did awesome though and it was nice that the whole family could be there to help me with the kiddos and hear him speak.

here are the pictures i got. the lighting was horrible inside our house. Kemp was screaming. I was rushing around like a mad woman so i didnt take time to get a good shot... so these arent very good... but they will have to do. Not to mention blogger is being dumb and isn't uploading the edited pictures i did.... but good thing for facebook - they all are on there!

Family of 5

This weekend i told tom we NEEDED to get at least one picture of our family. we dont even have 1 since the boys have been born of all 5 of us.

so I had julie snap some pics with my camera for me. Can i just say that D loves to have me take pics of her at home but once we're outside trying to actually get a picture - she does not like it!

even bribing with candy didnt work very well.

(Pumpkin Patch Post Below!)

Friday we went up to McMinnville to stay at mom and dads for the weekend to watch conference with them. Its always nice to go up there, at least for me, so i can have a little help with the kiddos and for the company of adults! Saturday after General Conference we all headed to the Pumpkin Patch. There was a hayride, a barn full of animals (which we didnt end up going to! darn), a bounce "pumpkin" house, tractors to ride, and slides. D had a blast and well, she threw the BIGGEST fit when she had to leave. The boys did good too. thank goodness for baby carriers!

we had our first wic appt this week - (first outing with all kids by myself and it ended with me crying. never again!)

anyways just wanted to let you all know that these boys are growing! at 10 weeks they are 

Colton: 10lb 3oz and 20 3/4 inches

Kempton: 9 lb 2 oz and 20 5/8 inches

and D is growing too! - 37 lbs and 38 1/2 inches (approx... she didnt cooperate very well!)
