New Years.

Friday after Christmas we headed up to Mcminnville to grandma and grandpas house! Dulany was so excited!  we usually only go for a weekend but this time we got to go for practically a week! it was so nice to be able to go and relax. since it was just us going and we had 2 rooms to use i put all the kids in one room (D got a queen bed all to herself!) and tom and i took the other room. All of us slept SO much better! (babies and I don't do well sleeping in the same room. they dont sleep well and i dont get good sleep! haha)

anyways. we got there and cousin Ayla came over and here are some pictures of the girls playing together.

We had a RedRobin giftcard (thanks bonnie and jason!) and so did our friends Page and Logan and so we went on a double date... with the kiddos (minus D, thanks Kaylee for watching her!). We dont have many pics of the  boys dressed up because they pretty much stay in pjs all day since we are still working on naping around the clock. might as well stay comfy!

Grandma got them these matching outfits and we had to have the boys wear their jordans and nike's before their feet got too big!

and D got to ride her bike at grandma and grandpas! she was so excited. except she kept saying "im going to hit the car!" ...w e still need to work on steering!

Now its back to school for Tom. ... not to mention he's starting his 5 weeks of coaching the Jr. highs boys basketball team. Then he gets a 2 week break and starts coaching the girls varsity softball team. Basically he's coaching till the end of the school year. 

oh and he just got called to be the Young Men's president.

not like i need to my husband home anyways right!? 

(ps there is only 2 active young men in the ward... his calling is more of getting the young men active and what not... but still. early morning meetings every sunday? Yikes.... i better start preparing myself to be a single mommy!)

Kempton's laugh is just hysterical. At first you're not sure if he's about to cry or if he thinks somethings funny.

the boys were on their play mats and tom was laying on the floor on his stomach right next to him. Dulany decided to come over and do seat drops on his back...

this made kempton laugh so D kept going. It was hilarious. These little boys are just so darn cute! i want to eat them up.

Christmas 2012

the best perk of Tom being a teacher = so many breaks! It was So nice to have him home for 2 whole weeks!

we spent the first week at home and spent christmas with just our little family> it was actually kind of nice. The boys had their first christmas and Dulany got spoiled! And here i was stressing she wasnt going to have enough (or good enough) gifts this year since money is kinda tight.

Christmas eve we got to "vooboo" (which is like skype but you can do it with multiple people at once!) with Mom and Dad (who were at Bonnies house in NYC) and Bonnie and family and Leslie who was there too... and then Julie, Alex and Paysen and then Kaylee Ayla and Jon. It was so neat to have everyone talking all together instead of skyping with one person and then having to get off to talk to someone else. 

then I made christmas dinner (first time!) and tried a new ham in the crock pot which was nice, but last minute tom had to run to roseburg (a good 25 minute drive there and then 25 back) to get a last minute gift before it closed so the ham was dry.. boo! but i made the BEST mashed potatoes and my famous bacon wrapped teriyaki green beans. Delish! It was a good dinner nonetheless.

Tom had to go wake Dulany up (the boys woke up) so we could all do it together. Tom said "Dulany, Santa came and left presents, lets go see!" she took that as "santa is in your living room" and she was very hesitant to even come into the living room! haha

Overall id say christmas was a success this year!

Snow!

In oregon - snow is a BIG deal. considering it may snow (MAY) once in the winter and that it snows in the morning and is completely gone by midafternoon you have to make the most of it.

tom was hoping that it woudl snow through out the night and he would get a delay or off school. Well yeah that didn't happen. we kept waiting for it and then finally at 10:30 before we fell asleep he looked out the window and we saw the huge snowflakes coming down. I told him i wanted to wake D up to show her and so he went and grabbed her out of bed. She was not excited... she was tired. She didn't care until she woke up the next morning.

anyways - it didnt snow very long and there wasnt much on the ground but when i let D out in the front yard and watched her from the big window while feeding the boys i noticed that it was perfect snow for a snowman!

so i put the boys down for a nap and headed out with her and we built a pretty good snowman. I remember as a kid putting M&Ms as the mouth and eyes and i had some so i wanted to use those - yeah not a good idea! totally didnt work. Now mr. snowman looks like mr. zombie snowman! D had a good idea and got some rocks from the driveway though.

Im so happy she got to play in the snow at least once this year! And she said now that it snowed Christmas can come!

I then realized how scary this snowman looked. SO i had to add a few extra rocks to make him SMILE!Not so creepy anymore..

I wished this snow would wait till next week. or happen again. I would LOVE to wake up to that snow on christmas morning. I actually miss it! it was so beautiful coming down right on the mountain close to our home with the evergreen trees.
