the start of something new..

(you know you totally sang high school musical to that post title!)

Here are some pictures of the kiddos while in the process of moving/packing/unpacking in our new place.

I promise ill take pics once the house actually looks decent and is decorated with out boxes everywhere. Might take awhile though. Im exhausted while Tom started his job and I'm doing feedings on my own (which take FOR-EV-OR - said in sandlot way) and well 3 kids is hard work!

this is how i feed the boys most of the time with a bottle in each hand/mouth. Most of the time they scoot over to each other (somehow....) and almost always end up ontop of one another!

moving day.

today we move into our new HOUSE.... finally we are out of apartment living! no more neighbors above/below/beside us, no more smokers right outside our door/windows, no more cramped living space.

we found a house in myrtle creek (10ish miles from riddle where tom is teaching) thats about 1300 sq feet, corner lot, fenced in back yard, 3 bedrooms, large kitchen, laundry room. (still need to find a washer/dryer though, and no dishwasher.... boo!). ohhh and the rent is cheap!

anyways, tom and leslie took all of our stuff down yesterday and today we are all going down for good! i havent seen the house in person but im so excited!

lagoon.

The roberts family used to go to Lagoon every summer when Tom and his siblings were younger. We went with Dulany and his parents 2 years ago when Tom graduated from BYU-Idaho an this trip was supposed to be tom taking dulany with his family to go camping at lagoon in utah. i was going to stay home with the boys. ... well last minute we all went. So all the siblings and families were there except bonnies husband jason (wish he was with us all - but theyre in hawaii right now so i dont feel TOO bad ; ) haha) But we all had a blast. First we went to Julie's place in La Grande (eastern oregon) for Paysen's baby blessing. It was way fun, and then we headed down to utah to go to lagoon. That 8 hour drive definitely took us a good 12 hours and we got in about 4 am monday. The drive home was a straight shot to Oregon so it was a good 19 hour drive. Can you believe i took my 4 week olds on that long of a trip? i told myself there was no way. But i couldnt let tom and D leave me... call me a wimp!

Anyways, after me saying "no way in heck im going" and my father in law saying "ohhh you'll be fine" - well... he was right! hahaha it was fun, and im glad we went.

 we went to visit grandma taylor (toms grandma) and got a picture of 4 generations

 Adam and Dulany on a ride. Dulany LOVED all the rides and she totally shocked all of us when she went on roller coasters and different rides (even a little "egg drop") and had her hands up in the air screaming "Wooo!!" she must get that from her daddy.

we had so much fun over those days but it needed to last longer! it was fun being with all the family and spending some good time together.

cousins

My sister in law Bonnie and her kids are here in town visiting. Dulany LOVES her cousin Adam who is a year and a half older then her. She was so excited for him to see her baby brothers and he wanted to hold them so bad. He kept saying "Im DYING to hold the babies!" He always wants to give them kisses and says how cute they are. Niccole (who is 1 1/2) wanted to hold and kiss the babies as well. It was too cute!

So here are some pictures of the cousins meeting for the first time. (Bonnie came the night before .. or morning... when Tom went to go pick them up and came to see them for their 2 am feeding!)

Kempton's Home!

We were shocked when the NICU nurses/Dr told us that Kempton would be coming home shortly after Colton. We figured another week but not 2 days after!

we are so glad to have them home. We are glad they exceeded our expectations of how long theyd be in the NICU and how well they progressed. and we are SO glad we dont have to make that drive anymore!

So we went from having 1 newborn home for 2 days/nights before having kempton home yesterday. Last night was our first night with both. Luckily they sleep ALL the time and the hardest part of everything is the feeding/bottles/pumping routine with 2. It takes FOREVER and by the time you're done you only have an hour before you have to wake them up again.

Anyways, here are a few pictures we got. We've been so busy with 2 we havent even really gotten many pictures... but hopefully once we figure everything out we can get more. (not to mention we're moving in less then a monht, not sure where we are going to live, havent packed yet, or done anything!)

Colton Came Home

Colton came home today. it was bitter sweet leaving Kempton at the Nicu. But the nurses and Dr. said he will most likely come home on Sunday. We hope so, it would be perfect! I really wasn't sure how long Kemp would be in the NICU and i was thinking maybe another week or so. Hearing it would only be a few days after Colton made me feel a TON better.

Dulany met her (one) little brother for the first time today. She loves him already and is doing really well. She REALLY wanted to feed him a bottle so she finally got to do it and was "taking turns with daddy" Anytime Colton makes a noise she goes "oh colton is talking!" or anytime he moves his legs or arms she gets excited.

Anyways, so far so good. Colton is still so young that he sleeps the whole day and is barely awake. We're doing good on feedings so far (which  makes me nervous because im doing bottles twice in a row then trying breastfeeding followed by a bottle) and i want to just make sure he's getting enough. In the NICU anytime we try nursing we weigh him before and after to see how much he got from breast and then follow up with as many ml he needs in abottle and we dont get to do that at home!

Here are pictures from when we got home. We cant wait till Kemp can come join us and our little family can be all in one place and no more one hour drive to the hospital and one hour drive home everyday!
