Yes or No?

Tom saw this picture of me yesterday (its my profile pic of me when i used to be ITTY bitty skinny pre baby) and said "why don't you cut your hair like that?" - well hun. last time I had someone TRY to do the same thing, she screwed it up and it was the worst haircut. (namely my bangs, ive now come to realize, i look horrible with bangs and even got the stylists advice that bangs are not for my face shape and thats probably why i always pin them back... um thanks.) also, my hair is now curly. Mostly- in the back, more so compared to the front. Which means i would have to straighten it ALL the time.

but in all honesty. I loved my hair when it looked like that. I loved what the guy did to it and it was so easy to do and i thought looked cute. Now that im out of rexburg and i COULD get tom's cousin (who i really trust, who owns her own salon) to do it, im not sure if i want to.

I keep saying "i want to grow my hair out, i will never cut it short again" because i want to take the easy way out and just throw it in a "mommy messy bun". Maybe thats why tom liked it. Poor guy. He rarely ever sees me with my hair done. I never want to straighten it anymore nor curl it. it just takes too long, then its in my face and i end up pulling it back.

so the question is. what do you all think? Do you honestly think if i cut my hair (and HOPEFULLY it would turn out the same) would i be able to keep up with it and straighten it all the time (its not a whole lot of hair to deal with..)

im torn. I kinda want to, then i feel like ill just regret it afterwards and want long hair again...

this was THE haircut..(ps i loved my hair color then too, but sadly can't remember what color it was!)

and i thought this was a fun one with Tom included. we were only friends at this point, but we both liked each other regardless. At least im not ashamed to say so!

I think it's a super cute cut....not too short. You could always get the same cut with a tad more length. Plus, a change is always nice every now and then.

I like that cut too...but I think you look good with bangs! Not strait across bangs (who looks good w/ those?) But for sure side-sweeping like in the pictures!

I've noticed that when I have a fresh new haircut, I feel a lot better. I do think you'll have days when you won't like the decision to cut it, but you should have a lot more that you're glad you did. Plus Dulany is a bit older now and so it's not like you'd be trying to style your hair with a newborn yelling for your attention. It may even end up being a fun morning routine where you do both of your hair.
I also think it's funny that you guys like that haircut so much, because my husband and I like the similar one that I had when we were dating the best too. :)

Do it!! It's super cute, plus hair always grows back! I'm at that stage of finally being able to pull my hair back.... and now I want to cut it again! :) Do it Jess!! Emma will do a good job too.

You could just add some face framing layers instead of cutting it all at once. I have to admit, I love longer hair, on me and pretty much everyone else. I like the look of side swiped bangs and layers around my face, but I NEVER ask for bangs! (They look bad on me too.) I'm very picky about who cuts my hair. What you can ask for is tapering from your cheekbones down. Then you can do a deep side part to create side swipe bangs (more like a long layer near your cheekbone) or you can do your hair so it looks like you just have layers, and no bangs. If you do decide you cut it, you will look great that way too!

I know exactly what you mean. I want to cut mine short, but it's such a big commitment because you have to straighten it all the time. Tough call, Jessie!

Hey Jessie! I totally understand with trying to decide with hair, most days I usually just put my hair up too. I started just doing doing my hair Friday's for our dates, or I fix it right before Scott gets home... I agree with Jody that you could get it a little shorter but still long enough to put it up! I hope you figure something out that you like! I am at a middle/long length and love it because I can put it up, but it doesn't take FOREVER to do. :)

I love it! And I always tell myself it's just hair it will always grow back!

Also short hair usually means you almost always have to do something with it but it can be a good thing. Iv actually been taking the time to get ready every morning even if I dont go anywhere and it makes me feel a lot more like a real person than just 'mom' you know?
Im sure it will look great I cant wait to see pictures
